Our Board of Trustees is responsible for the strategic management of the charity. Learn more about Marie Curie’s Board of Trustees, executive committee and patrons.

Our trustees

The Board is advised by expert committees in audit, finance, investment, caring services, research and retail. All our trustees, committee and advisory board members and vice presidents are unpaid volunteers. The Board meets at least six times a year and is appointed by its members.

Committees

The Board of Trustees is supported by a number of committees and delegate some of its responsibilities to these committees as set out in their terms of reference.

Vice Presidents and Advisory Boards

Our trustees (known as the Board of Trustees) delegate the day-to-day management of Marie Curie to our Chief Executive, Matthew Reed, who appoints the Executive Team, made up of the charity’s most senior managers.
