Too many people are dying in pain, in poverty and alone, and it needs to stop. We need the new government to fix this urgent crisis.

Three million will die during this Parliament...

And each and every one of them deserves to be safe, comfortable and cared-for at the end.
But right now, services and staff are stretched to their limits, carers and families don't know where to turn for help. End of life care has been overlooked, and now the shortfall in support is at a critical level. We need urgent action.
9 in 10 people dying in the UK today need palliative care.
Over 3 million people will die over the next five years, leaving 16 million bereaved.

My dad died at home. At the end he suffered terribly. I phoned for a nurse to come and administer much needed drugs, we waited five hours, he had an agonising end.

We're calling on government to provide ...

  • Sustainable funding for hospices and end of life care
  • The right services in every local community
  • Personalised and joined-up care
  • Action on poverty and inequality
  • Support for families and carers
