Twilight Walk - On the night Information

We're looking forward to seeing you at the Marie Curie Twilight Walk on Friday 27 September!

Please ensure you have read this important information below before the event. If you have any queries please contact us at walkni@mariecurie.org.uk.

Parking

Parking for 2024 Twilight Walk has changed from previous years.

Due to health and safety concerns, the car park at Barnett's Demesne will be prioritised for those attendees who require an accessible car park and for event suppliers only.

There is ample parking only a short walk from the venue, so please plan your journey to incorporate this. In order to reduce the impact of the event on the local residents, we encourage you to use the designated car parks detailed below. Please inform all members of your party of this information.

Start time

The walk will start at 7.30pm but please join us from 7pm for a warmup with u105 radio and Fitness Freddy!

What to bring

It is very important to bring a torch as it will be very dark on some sections of the route. Also, remember to wear suitable footwear and clothing for the weather.

Wristbands

You should receive a wristband in your welcome pack. Please complete the medical information on your wristband if we need to be aware of any medical conditions, allergies, or any medication you are on, otherwise leave this section blank. It is also important that all children wear a wristband. Extra wristbands will be available on the night.

Memory lanterns

You should also receive a memory lantern in your welcome pack. We encourage you to decorate these and bring them to the walk so they can be part of the lantern lane as the walk finishes. More lanterns will be available on the night.

Under 18s

Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times on the walk.  If you are bringing any under 18s to the event they are your sole responsibility and please keep them close to you at all times.  Wristbands for under 18s can be collected at registration.

You can find more information in our FAQs section, or you can contact us with any queries at walkni@mariecurie.org.uk.
