Information

Join Marie Curie for a fiery start to your day!

For the first time ever, guests of Yours Live get the chance to take part in a sponsored firewalk on the last day of the annual summer Garden Party. A challenge suitable for people of all physical abilities, it takes strength of mind to conquer your fears and complete the firewalk.

It may be the shortest sponsored walk you’ll ever take part in but rest assured, it packs plenty of heat!

What can you expect?

All brave ‘soles’ taking part will be fully supported with an in-depth training session led by an expert team of firewalking professionals. With well over 20 years’ experience handling the flames, they will show you the correct pace and take you through how to safely complete your firewalk. They will also walk alongside you to help you through the challenge.

Staff from Yours and Marie Curie will also be on hand to heat up the atmosphere with loud cheers to celebrate your amazing achievement!

After the walk, you’ll receive a finisher’s certificate and we will take plenty of photos for the photo gallery so you can proudly share them with friends and family.

How the money you raise helps

£180 pays for someone with a terminal illness to attend the day therapy unit at the hospice.

£400 pays for someone to stay in a Marie Curie Hospice for 24 hours, so that they can receive the hands-on care they need in their final days.

£1,250 pays for a portable oxygen system that will relieve distressing symptoms, so a person doesn’t have to be confined to bed.
