Together we're helping families get the best end of life care possible.
Jyoti was 16 when she was first diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. She is living with pulmonary fibrosis, and receives Hospice Care at Home from the Marie Curie Hospice, West Midlands.
"When you're on the journey to the end, you need to feel as though you have somewhere you can go that feels safe, that feels home, and that for me is how Marie Curie feels. I feel supported, I feel safe, I know that if anything happened to me that my husband and my mom would be safe. I think for me that is the biggest thing that I could ask for."
When Jacqui, a retired social worker for people with dementia, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Kelly and her other daughters helped get her to the Marie Curie Hospice, Bradford.
"I don't want my family feeling anxious and scared, it's a terrible feeling because I feel like I've caused that stress for them. The hospice staff have taken that pressure off my family and taken it on themselves. If I can't go home, I have no problem staying here now. They're fabulous. Second-to-none."
It’s only with your support that we can continue to be there for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them.
