Will you beat the Gower coast path?
Take on either a 12 mile or 24 mile trail across the Gower Peninsula. You'll hike across the iconic Rhossili Bay – home to vast, open beaches with beautiful dunes and surfers out catching waves. If you're lucky, you might even spot some of the local wildlife, including Atlantic grey seals, dolphins and harbour porpoises! A short drive from the city of Swansea, the South Wales trail isn't far from the Marie Curie Hospice in Penarth.
Whether you sign up to stride solo or with friends and family, Beat the Gower Coast will be an unforgettable experience. We'll be with you every step of the way, offering tailored training plans in the lead up to the hike and waiting for you with a glass of bubbly and medal at the finish line.
Beat the Trails for Marie Curie and help people get the best care possible, to the end.
The first 250 who sign up to Beat the Gower Coast Path will receive a limited edition Beat the Trails 2025 iron patch in their postal welcome pack. These are sent out a month before your trek.
About the route
- The route starts at the world-famous National Trust's Worms Head site in the stunning Rhossili Bay.
- We'll pass through The Vile (an example of medieval strip farming), before heading up to experience the full panoramic views of Rhossili Bay.
- We'll enjoy gentle undulating farmland fields and rejoin the coastal path at Mewslade Bay.
- Next, we'll head west, back to see Worms Head up close, before returning through the beautiful Vile sunflower fields to the welcoming Worms Head finish where you'll be awarded with your Beat the Trails medal and the well-deserved glass of fizz!
Have a look at a map of the 12 mile route and 24 mile route . The routes are subject to permission and changes. In the unlikley event of any changes, we'll be sure to let all participants know of any updates to the route.
