Will you beat the historic Hadrian's Wall?
Take on an 11 mile or 22 mile circular trail across the most picturesque a section of this world famous landmark, built to guard the North West frontier of the Roman Empire. Skirting the Northumberland National Park, Hadrian's Wall is just under an hour from the vibrant city of Newcastle, home to a Marie Curie Hospice.
Whether you sign up to stride solo or with friends and family, Beat Hadrian's Wall will be an unforgettable experience. We'll be with you every step of the way, offering tailored training plans in the lead up to the hike and waiting for you with a glass of bubbly and medal at the finish line.

The first 250 who sign up to Beat Hadrian's Wall will receive a limited edition Beat the Trails 2025 iron patch in their postal welcome pack. These are sent out a month before your trek.
About the route
- The route starts (and finishes) in the picturesque small town of Haltwhistle, the closest community to Hadrian's Wall.
- We'll then pass through Haltwhistle's quaint town centre, before joining the tranquil Haltwhistle Burn.
- The routes will be peppered with dramatic crags and ancient roman ruins.
- We'll then join the most dramatic stretch of the 73-mile wall, passing Winshields Crags and Cawfields Lake among others.
- The trail will end with a tranquil return down Haltwhistle Burn where you'll be awarded with your Beat the Trails medal and a well-earned glass of fizz!
