Little did I know how the Marie Curie daffodil which mum wore on her coat would become such a focus and support whilst I sat in the consultant's room with my dad and the most important woman in my life, my mum.
The words ‘your cancer is terminal’ have echoed forever in my head. Following this devastating news, I asked mum which charity she would like me to fundraise for. She immediately chose Marie Curie, which is how my fundraising journey began.
Emma, who started a Cherished Memory Fund in memory of her mum.

We're here to help

With your support, Marie Curie Nurses can be there for people in need

It’s only with your support that we can continue to be there for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them.

Donation type

Your gift could help pay for one hour of vital nursing care for someone living with a terminal illness in the comfort of their own home.

Other ways to donate

Marie Curie does so much work that people don’t realise is valuable until they need it. I’m fundraising in memory of my mum. It means a lot to be able to raise awareness for such an important cause.
Natalie, who ran the London Marathon in memory of her mum, Juliet.
