Marie Curie and Alzheimer's Society have come together to make available £1,000,000 for new research that can improve the end of life experience for people with any form of dementia, and for those who care for and support them.
This call for research is now closed. Applicants will be notified of final outcomes in March 2025.
Our Research Impact Fund provides support for well-planned, high-quality, targeted activities that will facilitate the uptake of existing palliative and end of life care research into practice or policy to benefit people affected by dying, death and bereavement.
The fund will be open to applications from 30 August to 3 November 2024, with decisions expected by February 2025.
From time to time we also put out targeted calls to commission specific research projects that help support ongoing activity at the charity, such as policy and campaigns activity.
If your research has the potential to improve palliative and end of life care for people with a terminal illness, their carers, families, friends and communities, we could support you.
