Our friendly and welcoming Marie Curie Hospice, Liverpool helps people living with any terminal illness or approaching the end of life, and the people close to them, receive the care and support they need.
Our nurses, healthcare assistants and other healthcare professionals in the North West bring the clinical, practical and emotional help you need to you, in the comfort of your own home. And we offer support to the people close to you too – from reassurance and practical information to letting them take a break.
Our Hospice Care at Home service is available in East Cheshire, Central Lancashire, East Lancashire, Fylde and Wyre, Manchester, Liverpool, Tameside, Wigan and Wirral.
Companion volunteers in the North West provide practical and emotional support at home and over the phone. They offer free, flexible and personalised help to people at the end of life, and to their families and carers.
The Companion at Home service is available in Liverpool.
In Liverpool, the STARS service provides expert end of life care in your own home. It offers personal, practical and psychological support to people in the last three months of their life with any illness they’re likely to die from. This support is provided any time – day or night.
By helping people to feel comfortable in their final weeks and die where they want, STARS provides dignity to people at the end of life, and information and support to the people close to them.
Our IMPaCT hub in Liverpool, in partnership with a parternship with Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, Liverpool university Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Wooldands Hospice, offers a single point of access, making it easier to get care, advice and support in a timely manner.
The service helps avoid crisis and supports more people to get care and support in their own homes.
In Liverpool, our Advance Liver Disease service helps people living with advanced liver disease from any cause get the support they need. The service aims to improve the quality of life for people living with advanced liver disease and provide support for those important to them.
We work alongside Brownlow Health GP practice and hostels in Liverpool to provide support for people experiencing homelessness with palliative care needs.
