What we do

Marie Curie provides a better end of life for more people, whatever the illness. We’re here for anyone living with any illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. We provide free palliative and end of life care, information and support. We campaign for more people to have a better end of life and fund palliative care research.

Expert end of life care, whatever the illness

Marie Curie Nurses and healthcare professionals provide expert hospice care, whatever the illness, in the comfort of home and hospice. Whether you have months, weeks or days left to live, our services help provide you with clinical care and emotional support, assisting you so you’re able to live the best life you can to the end.

People see the Marie Curie daffodil and they have faith in us. That gives me a massive sense of pride because it means that a lot of people have had a good experience with Marie Curie, and that we are doing what we’re here to do.
It’s such a difficult time for anyone that's come into Marie Curie’s care, and so to know that we give families some comfort – that’s lovely to be a part of.

We’re at the forefront of improving end of life care for the UK

We raise public awareness and influence decision-makers across the UK on the issues affecting dying people and those close to them, so more people can access high quality care and support when and where they need it most.

Where your donations go

Last year we delivered over 80,000 episodes of care by our hospice and nursing teams - in people's own homes or in our hospices, from Marie Curie Nurses and Healthcare Assistants.

Working together

We cannot do this alone. From nurses and healthcare professionals to researchers and volunteers, hundreds of people are working towards the goal of giving everyone better end of life care.
